Free new costing tool launced by NDNA In June the National Day Nurseries Association announced that it has created a free electronic costing tool to help nurseries effectively manage finances, analyse their costs and income and plan for the future. CRB Checks guidance issued In June the Cabinet Office published guidance to help organisations that use volunteers to be clear about when they do and don't need to carry out CRB checks on volunteers. More New Early Years Foundation Stage leaflets The DCSF has published a leaflet the Early Years Foundation Stage: its child's play aimed at Early Years practitioners. The NCMA have published Early Years Foundation Stage Getting Started. EYFS literacy goals and exemptions to be reviewed The government is to review tow of the literacy Early Learning Goals and allow nurseries and childminders to apply to be exempt from specific parts of the EYFS on 'philosopical grounds'.
