Getting connected to the Internet

Northumberland's Early Years & Childcare Service are aware that many Northumberland childcare providers do not have access to internet services and so may miss out on e-learning opportunities for children and staff alike as well as not having access to fast e-mail communications.

A grant programme has now been developed to enable you to benefit from Getting Connected to the internet.

Two childcare settings in Cumbria were winners at a national awards ceremony.

The 4Children’s National Childcare Awards Presentation took place on Thursday 29th June 2006 at Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre, London.

The event was supported by the National Sure Start Unit and was attended by a host of celebrities: Cherie Booth QC, Nicholas Parsons TV presenter, Esther Rantzen CBE, Georgina Bouzova (Casualty), Vanessa Feltz to name but a few....

New Child Car Seat Regulations!

New regulations governing the use of child car seats are due to come into force in September 2006.
